December Events - Update

Categories: Event Suggestions.

There is so much going on this holiday season, I was bound to find some events I missed or some that more details became available. With that, I present an updated list of event choices through the end of the year and into your New Year’s Eve fun.

Friday, December 19

Ghetto Disco

The End Up, Sixth and Harrison Street, San Francisco
11PM to 1AM
Featuring DJ Robbie Martin, DJ Frank Wild, DJ Joe Hickerson

A mainstay of the Friday night dance scene, Ghetto Disco at The End Up is a great way to kick off any weekend. This Friday, start your final weekend before Christmas with a night great beats by a trio of great DJs – Robbie, Frank and Joe. The music and the crowd should be groovy and the scene a bit on the edge I am sure. Always a pleaser!

Saturday, December 20

Bearracuda

Deco Lounge, 510 Larkin Street @ Turk, San Francisco
9PM to 3AM
Featuring DJ Pete ‘Jester’ Savas

As mentioned earlier, Bearracuda is a little dance party that sometimes has some real big names, and this Saturday does not miss that chance. As the last of the events for Bears, Cubs, and other Wildlife, this party is hosting DJ Pete ‘Jester’ Savas of Salt Lake City and of Real Bad XXVIII fame. Check out this alternative Saturday night event for something different, but be ready for a larger than life crowd, full of furry beasties!

Note to flow artists – No space at all to use flow toys at this event.

Pornstar
The Cat Club, 1190 Folsom Street, San Francisco
10PM to 3AM
Featuring DJ James Andersen and DJ Wayne Michael

I have not yet been to one of these events, but several people have raved about them as something fun and different to do. These are dances with a touch of porn start added to sex it up a bit. So come down and check out the last Pornstar of 2008 and see what it is all about.

Sunday, December 21

Fresh

Ruby Skye, 420 Mason Street, San Francisco
10PM to Late
Featuring DJ Kimberly S

This is the Fresh Holiday Party and as usual should be packed with the party-goers looking to kick off the Christmas week in style. Kimberly is one of the mainstays of Fresh so the music should get your sleigh-bells dancing in the right direction.

Note to flow artists – there is no dedicated flow arts space here, but you will see flow artists on the main floor early and on the stage behind the DJ or near the DJ occasionally, as well as the occasional flagger on the cat walk.

Thick

Club Eight – 1151 Folsom Street, San Francisco
11PM to 3AM
Featuring DJ Luke Johnstone

Luke will keep your ho-ho-holiday dance vibe going immediate following Fresh. Maybe worth a stop by and bring some mistletoe in case you can find that special someone to help your dance your holidays away.

Note to flow artists – this is a small club space, but does have a box/stage like area to the right as you get to the dance floor, so flow arts are possible, depending on the crowd size.

Friday, December 26

Ghetto Disco

The End Up, Sixth and Harrison Street, San Francisco
11PM to 1AM
Featuring DJ Billy Carroll, DJ Scotty Thomson and DJ Hawthorne

This is a great way to get away from the holiday celebrations, and maybe the family as well. Head on over to The End Up and hit the dance floor for the Friday mainstay of Ghetto Disco. Great music, great edgy crowds, and lots of fun, and with many people visiting there is likely to be folks you have never seen before (aka fresh meat).

Saturday, December 27

Good Time Love Club

Underground SF, 424 Haight St., San Francisco
9PM to 2AM
Featuring DJ Hawthorne and DJ Sean Greene

A groovy little dance party in a tiny little space, come hear the beats slapped down by Hawthorne (someone is going to be busy that night) and Sean Greene. This little party should pack a good punch and serves as a small alternative to Industry or a warm up act to Industry/Twisted.

Industry

Mighty, 119 Utah Street, San Francisco
10PM to Late
Featuring DJ Ralphi Rosario and DJ Luke Johnstone

Looks like a great opportunity as Ralphi Rosario makes a rare San Francisco appearance working with Luke Johnstone on the tables. Industry is always a crowd pleaser so if you are in town, it is a great way to end your Christmas Holiday week. I am also told that special performances will be by Caroline Lund & Bebe Sweetbriar. Additionally, check out DJ’s Hawthorne, DJ Pornstar & MC2 in the Tobygo Room, hosted By Cookie Dough and special performances by Suzan Revah, Charisma Glitterati & the Tobygo Boys.

Sunday, December 28

Twisted

After-Hours

The Cat Club, 1190 Folsom Street, San Francisco
3AM to 10AM (Following Industry)

Following as an after party this time to Industry, you should be able to find your way to a party to dance until the sun comes up. The last Twisted After-Hours, following Black XXXMas had some of the best music of the weekend, so hopefully this party will not disappoint as well.

Note to flow artists – Cat Club has no real space for flow arts, but there are a couple of boxes on either side of the dance floor, if you feel so inclined to strut your stuff.

Wednesday, December 31

Adonis

by Gus Presents

Space 550, 550 Barneveld Street, San Francisco
10PM to Late
Featuring DJ Twisted Dee, DJ Alexander and DJ Blaine Soileau, plus DJ Pornstar in the Electro Room

This will be the big Gus style holiday event with a balloon drop, champagne toast, party favors, and complimentary breakfast if you make through the 12 hour dance marathon. Barneveld is an interesting space to head for New Year’s Eve and is far out there if you do not drive. Be prepared to wait long for a cab, and be careful if you choose to drive. The musical talents should be amazing to hear as this is the San Francisco Premiere for Twisted Dee and adding Alexander and Blaine to the list just means more great music.

Note to flow artists – Perfect space for flow arts – lots of black light and a big open stage.

Thursday, January 1

Mass

by Gus Presents

Club 1015, 1015 Folsom Street, San Francisco
6PM to Midnight
Featuring DJ Phil B

Gus brings back the Mass Reunion T-Dance party for New Year’s Day. This should be a great party, if you still have the energy, with the amazing music of Phil B. Sorry, I cannot make this one, but I will be there in spirit with you.

Note to flow artists – Club 1015 has a dedicated stage area in the main dance room that has new black lighting that is aimed at the stage. So bring out your flow toys and have a blast.

That takes you through an updated journey in December and into 2009.

Yours truly will be leaving the city for Chicago for Christmas Eve to visit with extended family, closely followed by a trip to London with my friends where we will spend New Year’s Eve at the RVT (Royal Vauxhall Tavern) followed by what should be an amazing party called Love Muscle at the Fridge, but then again I will be with my close friends (extended family) and that is good enough for me. Then we all catch the EuroStar to Belgium on New Year’s Day to attend La Demence in Brussels. So if you are in jolly old England, feel free to stop by and join us in some New Year celebrations.

Wishing you the happiest of holidays and I hope to see you soon under the magical dance floor lights!

The Final Picks of 2008

Posted on December 3rd, 2008 by Jim.
Categories: Event Suggestions.

I cannot believe it is already time for the holidays. Before you know it we will bid farewell to 2008 and usher in a New Year – 2009. It is unbelievable at times that around 10 years ago we were starting the worrisome rush towards the Y2K melt down, and what was going to be the end of the world. So here we are, just short of 10 years later and I find myself hopeful and optimistic about a brighter future. The holiday season can be a bit of a challenge for many people with emotions running higher than normal and money running shorter than ever. However, the holidays can also show us all the is potentially good and right with the world, brings us closer to our friends, and reminds to spend just a little more time on each other. But before that, I give you words from verse two of my favorite Christmas Song, The Christmas Waltz (Sammy Cahn & Julie Styne as recorded by The Carpenters (and many others) in 1978):

“It’s that time of year, when the world falls in love. Every song you hear seem to say ‘Merry Christmas, may your New Year dreams come true’. And this song of mine, in three-quarter time, wishes you and yours, the same thing, too!”

So, with that, here are my Final Picks of 2008, covering the events of early December with more updates coming as I get them for New Year’s Eve.

Saturday, December 6

Bearracuda

Deco Lounge, 510 Larkin Street @ Turk, San Francisco
9PM to 3AM
Featuring Dee Jay Pee Play and DJ Medic

Bearracuda is a little dance party with often new and up and coming talent or sometimes some real big names as well. The party bills itself as an event for Bears, Cubs, and other Wildlife and is held every first and third Saturday at the Deco Lounge. I often coin this as having a dance party in your living room because it has food, socializing a small dance floor and a fun, furry, and frolicking crowd. Check it out as something different to do on a Saturday.

Note to flow artists – No space at all to use flow toys at this event.

Sunday, December 7

Matinee

Temple Night Club (in the Catacombs), 540 Howard Street, San Francisco
6PM to Midnight
Featuring DJ Luke Johnstone and DJ Tony Moran

Since this event has moved into the Catacombs – the lower level of Temple night club – it has seemed like it has become a bit more fun, darker, sexier, and groovier, than a typical T-dance. This event is special in that it also will be celebrating the birthday of DJ Tony Moran. Pairing the music styling of Luke Johnston and Tony Moran should lead to a night with some great energy and entertainment and the perfect way to start off your December party circuit. Special note here, this is being billed as the final Matinee and the end of the run for this party, but never fear a new event is being planned to replace this come 2009.

Note to flow artists – while Temple and the Catacombs do not have a specific flow arts performance space, it is not unusual to see flaggers and fanners along the back area by the DJ booth.

Thick

Club Eight – 1151 Folsom Street, San Francisco
11PM to 3AM
Featuring DJ Frank Wild

Frank Wild will be sure to keep some darker sexier energy pumping at Club Eight as Thick takes the party after hours following Matinee. So for those of you with that can stay up late or do not have obligations on Monday, certainly go check this event out.

Note to flow artists – this is a small club space, but does have a box/stage like area to the right as you get to the dance floor, so flow arts are possible, depending on the crowd size.

Saturday, December 13

Black XXXMas by Industry and Gus Presents

Club 1015, 1015 Folsom Street, San Francisco
10PM to Late
Featuring DJ Abel, DJ Jaime J Sanchez and DJ Wayne G

This is the last big leather dance party of 2008, so dress dark and sexy and come out and hear the sound made famous at the Alegria events o f New York City with DJ Abel. Abel brings a darker tribal grove to the dance floor and with the leather touch on top it should drive the crowds into a fun frenzy. Add to that the styles of Jaime J Sanchez and Wayne G and you have a party that should not be missed. I hear the new lighting also makes for a huge improvement at the Club 1015 space, so make sure you give yourself time to leave and holiday house party your are attending. In my opinion, if you make only one dance event in December, do your best to make this the one. However, be sure you ready yourself and keep the party going at the Twisted afterhours (details below)

Note to flow artists – Club 1015 has a dedicated stage area in the main dance room that has new black lighting that is aimed at the stage. So bring out your flow toys and have a blast.

Sunday, December 14

Twisted

After Hours

The Cat Club, 1190 Folsom Street, San Francisco
3AM to 10AM (yes you read that right – a wee hours of the morning party)
Featuring DJ David Harness and DJ Ted Eiel

Following as a morning party to Black XXXMas, this should be one heck of an after-hours event. The music of David Harness coupled with the DJ I can never rave enough about, Ted Eiel, means a great combination of chunky house groves and an after-hours party that is supercharged with a great energy for all kinds of high jinks.

Note to flow artists – Cat Club has no real space for flow arts, but there are a couple of boxes on either side of the dance floor, if you feel so inclined to strut your stuff.

Sunday, December 21

Luke will keep your ho-ho-holiday dance vibe going immediate following Fresh. Maybe worth a stop by and bring some mistletoe in case you can find that special someone to help your dance your holidays away.

Saturday, December 27

Additionally, in the Tobygo Room with DJ’s Hawthorne, DJ Pornstar & MC2, hosted By Cookie Dough and special performances by Suzan Revah, Charisma Glitterati & the Tobygo Boys.

Note to flow artists – there is no dedicated flow arts space here, but you will see flow artists on the floor early and the stage off and on through the night as well as in the left corner near the speakers and lighting booth.

Sunday, December 28

Twisted

After Hours

More information to come – so keep the date!

Wednesday, December 31

Those are my event choices for December and through the New Year. I will post updates as more is learned about New Year’s Eve events as well.

Yours truly will be leaving the city for Chicago for Christmas Eve to visit with extended family, closely followed by a trip to London with my friends where we will spend New Year’s Eve at the RVT (Royal Vauxhall Tavern) and other clubs for the evening into the wee hours of the morning and then catch the EuroStar to Belgium on New Year’s Day to attend La Demence in Brussels. All of you who are interested are welcome to ring the New Year in with us in jolly old England.

Wishing you the happiest of holidays and I hope to see you soon under the magical dance floor lights!

November Update – Thanksgiving Time

Posted on November 21st, 2008 by Jim.
Categories: Event Suggestions.

Wow, where has this month gone. Thanksgiving is here already next week, and I can hardly believe it. The fun kicks off starting this Sunday on the dance floor and I hope you will join me for some of that fun times. However, whatever you do, I hope you are with the ones you love and take a moment to be thankful for something special in your lives. Ok, here is the mid-November update – it’s Thanksgiving!

SUNDAY – NOVEMBER 23

Fresh
Ruby Skye – 420 Mason Street, San Francisco
6PM to Midnight

Featuring DJ Wayne G, an all time favorite of mine, this party is always a crowd pleaser. The event starts at 6PM and usually has a discounted entry by 630PM, and while a smattering of boys and men will be here to dance earlier, the crowd really picks up at about 8PM. However, with the evenings getting dark earlier this might start picking up early again. The music should be pure Wayne G, high energy, vocals, anthems, and fun, fun, fun, with a great crowd and usually some very hot go-go dancers.

Notes to flaggers and flow artists: This club does not have a dedicated flagging space, but often on the main dance floor early is acceptable, and sometimes behind the DJ booth as well, and just on rare occasions, some flaggers have been allowed and even asked to spin on the catwalk above the stage.

Thick
Club Eight – 1151 Folsom Street, San Francisco
11PM to 3AM

Featuring DJ Luke Johnstone, a good friend and someone I have enjoyed since the very first time I heard him spin at Flagging in the Park. The club is a small space, excellent for an afterhours space, and the music should carry you off to your Thanksgiving week festivities.

Notes to flaggers and flow artists: This club does not have a dedicated flagging space.

SATURDAY – NOVEMBER 29

Industry
Mighty – 119 Utah, San Francisco
10PM to Late

Featuring DJ Luke Johnstone and Robbie Martin will be spinning at what has come to be one of my favorite Saturday night parties. I can always count on a little fun, a little frivolity, some friskiness, and a pleasant night out. Luke is always a favorite DJ of mine, having met him for the first time at a Flagging in the Park event in the AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park a couple years ago. I have overtime gotten to know Luke and come to see him as a friend and an amazing producer full of energy for the love of the events in San Francisco. Additionally, I had the pleasure of working the coat check and spending some fun times with Robbie Martin at Bay of Pigs this year, so I am anxious to hear him on the tables again.

Notes to flaggers and flow artists: There really is no flagging option at this party; however, early on the main dance floor is always an option.

Blowoff
Slims – 333 11th, San Francisco
10PM to 2AM

A rather successful event comes back for another round in San Francisco and it seems that folks are flying in from all over for this one again. So, take a stop by for some groovy tunes and a fun beefy sexy crowd. This is a great place to start your night and then end at a later event (maybe Industry?) if you have the energy.

Notes to flaggers and flow artists: There really is no flagging option at this party.

That wraps up the Thanksgiving suggestions from the Juice Box. Sorry I have no reviews from last weekend, but I never made it out of the house to enjoy the parties for the weekend. Also, stay tuned for December, as Black XXXMas Returns for a little leather holiday dance feast!

See you soon under the magical dance floor lights!

Halloween Weekend in San Francisco

Posted on October 31st, 2008 by Jim.
Categories: Event Suggestions.

Halloween Weekend in San Francisco - as if we needed a reason to get dressed up and have fun! The weather forecast is for rain, and supposedly colder weather, but at the time I am writing this article it is raining, but actually warm.

This year there are many events to consider for your Halloween festivities, but there seems to be a lacking presence of home based costume parties, or yours truly was just not invited to any of them. Whatever your all hallows eve may have in store, there are many things to do, and here is some of what this weekend has to offer.

FRIDAY – October 31

Blood Pact by Tantra and Homochic
SomaArts Cultural Center – 934 Brannan Street (@ 8th)
10PM to 5AM

Blood Pact is a new event on the Halloween scene. It is put together by well known producers for their trance parties of the past (gosh I miss those) and other fun events. The event is being sold to an 18 and up crowd with a great line of interesting DJs including Digital Paradigm, Lord Kook, Liam Shy, and Rchrd Oh!? + Sleazemore. I have heard both Lord Kook and Liam Shy spin at events in the city for Pride and Love Parade and both know how to throw down some great pumping trance music. Additionally, there will be an outside tented entertainment area, which should add some fun value to this event. This will be a very alternative and fun party to take part in and the SomaArts space is a great open warehouse style feel, and I recommend this event if you are looking for something different with some cool music with a cool vibe. Costumes encouraged.

Note to the flaggers and flow artists; because SomaArts is a very open style space, you should be able to find a corner and pull out your toys to play. This specific space was one of the first places I ever flagged, in my green with purple dots bear costume – ah the memories!

Asylum by Twisted
Warehouse Space at 511 Harrison Street (near the old Sound Factory)
10PM to 4AM

DJ David Knapp and Paulo, two personal favorites, are advertised in the early emails that went out, to be on for this party, as well as a host of others. This should prove to be a fun party, and it should be noted that it is also a benefit event for the Bare Chest Calendar Men of San Francisco. This is a great alternative party to the traditional Halloween dances, even if a bit more pricey.

Note to the flaggers and flow artists; at the last time I checked with the production team, they plan bring in black light for this event and maybe even some performance boxes, so there should be some flagging opportunities here.

Adonis by Gus Presents
Space 550 - 550 Barneveld
10PM to Late

DJ Brett Henrichsen and Rob Kaftan, two of the scenes better DJs, will provide some great music for an event that sells itself as “Horror Movie Halloween”. I expect they will be showing some horror flicks on the giant screen on the stage, but I am not sure. There is also a promise of a performance by Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams and a cash prize costume contest hosted by Sister Roma. Space 550 is best reached with a car and plenty of parking can be found in the area.

Note to the flaggers and flow artists; Space 550 is one of the few spaces with a full stage and lots of black light always available. The stage can easily accommodate 3 or 4 flow artists at a time, so spin to your heart’s content.

SATURDAY – November 1

Colossus by Gus Presents
Club 1015 – 1015 Folsom Street
10PM to Late

DJ Manny Lehman and Jamie J. Sanchez will be on deck for an event that sells as the “Halloween Hangover”. I also love that this event has the dress code is billed as “tore up, chilled out, super casual” so that worn out costume from tonight will get just a little more wear. As mentioned in many previous event suggestions I have sent out, this is one of my favorite club spaces in the city, and I understand some new lighting should be working for the main floor.

Note to the flaggers and flow artists; the new lighting at 1015 (according to a close friend’s report) has some black light range gobo spots that are aimed to the stage, so this should provide some flagging opportunities.

Ghost Ship by the Space Cowboys
Airplane Hanger on Treasure Island
10PM to Late (or early depending on how you look at it)

The DJ line up on this event is too large to put up on here so please go to the Space Cowboys web site to check it out. This should prove to be one very different event. In the spirit of Burning Man, the Space Cowboys have found a 25000 square foot space on Treasure Island (I believe you can see this space from the City), and are turning it into one very amazing party (from what I read). The Flaming Lotus Girls, the Steam Punk Treehouse folks, THERM, Michael Christian, Orion Fredricks, Liam McNamera, and the Department of Spontaneous Combustion are just a few of the familiar names of Burning Man groups pulling this together. They have also gone as far as to offer a shuttle, fueled by bio-diesel, from Civic Center, every 30 minutes, to help with the limited parking and transportation issues at this space. Additionally, Comfort and Joy, one of the fun and friendly camps on the playa is creating a “Hidden Faggot Oasis” for the queer folks to enjoy, so go check this one out, it should be quite special.

SUNDAY – November 2

TEAse by Industry
Mist – 316 11th St between Folsom & Harrison
6PM to Midnight

This is an all new space with an all new party and put together by the talented Industry team. DJ Luke Johnstone, John LePage and Don Tix will be on deck to kick this new party off at this new 2 level space which has a glass dance floor that looks down on the main dance floor (talk about something really cool). This event will be a benefit to the AIDS Emergency Fund. So come out to this one to see the new space and check out a new SF event.

So there are my suggestions for an incredible, over packed, insane level of Halloween Fun. Get your costumes, put that fake blood in place, and head out and shake some scary grooves to the horrific fun of Halloween.

Juicy’s Picks – It’s October and the Party Keeps Going

Posted on October 2nd, 2008 by Jim.
Categories: Event Suggestions.

Hello revelers! Hope you have all recovered well from the events of Folsom Weekend in San Francisco. Personally, I am still basking in the afterglow of all that happened, and will be holding out on posting a review of Folsom Weekend, seeing as so many have posted already. What I will say is that the three events I attended, Bearracuda Magnum (DJ Pete Savas and Ted Eiel), Magnitude (DJ Paul Goodyear) and Real Bad XX (DJ Tim Jones) have left me with a great feeling that SF club scene is alive and well and still has plenty to offer. Congratulations to all the promoters on a great Folsom Weekend.

However, the fun has only started, and I now bring you the next round of Juicy Picks for the party scene in San Francisco.

SATURDAY – OCTOBER 4 – Noon to 6PM
Love Fest

Starting at Market and 2nd Street and ending in Civic Center

Come rain or shine (yes forecast is calling for rain), the San Francisco Love Fest is an event that is not to be missed. This event, with heritage to the Love Parade of Berlin, is an electronic music festival with a slice of burning man, topped with crazy costumes and party goers, all on a lovely plate of San Francisco fun. Flow artists (flaggers, fanners and poi spinners) and party goers alike will love this event seeing as it has something for just about everyone. My advice is to meet the parade near 2nd and Market Streets and listen for the music that grabs you. Once you find that perfect sound that calls you to move with it, join right in the parade and dance up Market Street to Civic Center where all of the floats combine into an amazing round-a-bout of musical experience. Wear plenty of sunscreen (if it does not rain), make some new friends, wear something fun or silly, and just have a good time.

SUNDAY – OCTOBER 5 – 11AM to 6PM
Castro Street Fair
Castro Street and Market Street

While certainly not as wild as the Folsom Street Fair last weekend, the Castro Street Fair is more of the local home edition for the folks in the hood, with a smattering of arts, crafts and interesting wares for sale. As usual there will be a variety of music stages for your enjoyment with something for all dance interests and for all flow artists. This fair tends to be a nicer, lazier day, of socializing with friends and hanging out to see the interesting performances and listen to some music.

My preferred choice will be the Braindrops Dance area where DJ Luke Johnstone (personal favorite) and DJ Jim Hopkins will be tearing up the floor with some dance beats and probably the most likely place for flow artists to come spin away. However, if you are into the country scene (which I also love) you can check out the Sundance Country Dance area located behind the Castro Theater.

SUNDAY – OCTOBER 5 – 6PM to Midnight
Matinee
Temple Night Club – 540 Howard Street
DJ Tony Moran, DJ Luke Johnstone, DJ Jamie Sanchez

Sunday night Tony Moran will heat up the beats, along with resident DJs Luke Johnstone and Jamie Sanchez, at Temple Night Club as the Matinee Team brings you another great event in the Catacombs of the Temple. While this is not really a flow arts friendly space, the music should be great and the Catacombs have a unique, low ceiling venue, that creates a different, fun, intimacy. Check this venue out for a little Sunday fun.

SUNDAY – October 12 – Noon to 12AM
Burning Man Decompression – 19th and Minnesota

For those of you that attended Burning Man, this is the culmination of the return home and a chance to once again see your favorite art, hear your favorite music, and dance away a Sunday afternoon. Fun costumes are suggested and this place will be abundant with artists so flow artists should feel very much at home with flags, fans and poi at this event.

SUNDAY – October 12 – 6PM to 3AM
Remember the Red Party – Trocadero Transfer – 520 Fourth Street
DJ Jerry Bonham

If you are not attending Decompression or if you can peel yourself away, Remember the RED Party is also happening on October 12. This is a great party to throw some flashback memories on for the disco era. The music is something I find very easy to enjoy and dance to, and harkens back to the days of bell bottoms and polyester. The party is always a great mixed crowd of all ages and includes a stage where old school fanners meet new school flaggers and have a celebration of flow arts. On the floor is a combination of appropriately stylized disco drags, jeans, clone wear, and more. This annual party is a particular favorite of mine.

SUNDAY – October 19 – 6PM to Late
TwistedSuite One8One – 181 Eddy Street
DJ Line-up includes –Chris Cox, Kio Kio, Connie Casserole, David Harness, Pete Avila, Foxxy Brown, Sean Greene, Pam Hubbuck.

Another installment of Twisted is something I am also really looking forward to. After a killer party at 1015 on Labor Day weekend, I am hoping for the best as Twisted moves to a new space called Suite One8One located just blocks from the Powell Street transit station. Billed with another amazing line up of DJs, this is likely to be one crazy party in a new space for this party scene. I cannot advise if this event will be flow arts friendly, but bring your toys just in case. However the site boasts 16000 square feet of party space that is not too dirty and not to clean but just perfect for a TWISTED party.

I am choosing not to throw my weight up against any of the Halloween parties at this time, but there will be several to choose from, so keep an eye out for what interests you most, and if something changes, I will get out the word.
