2 RVT Evenings, One Great Weekend

Another bank holiday weekend has come and gone here in London and as I am packing up to return to my lovely home city in San Francisco I have some rather fun memories of what was my third anniversary trip to London and a celebration of Mike “Tigger” Higgins birthday.
The RVT was in great form for the Sunday and Monday dance parties of the weekend. The Dame Edna experience certainly was one of the best I have seen at the Tavern, and watching her loose character a number of times and break out in laughter really said she was having a great time too. The humor this trip was very political as Britain goes to the polls this week for a new government, in what is probably the most interesting election, with no clear leader at present. It looks like there could be a hung parliament, and you can only imagine where the jokes go from there.
Simon LeVans, Andy Almighty and Sean Sirs along with guest DJ for Sunday night Rob C, all did a great job with the musical selections. Andy played some great new mixes on Sunday, a bit of a change up, but still that total Almighty punch and on Monday pulled out all the stops with a total anthems festival of epic proportions. Sean Sirs also delivered another amazing Sunday set with great deeper trance mixes and by the time “You Take My Breath Away” came on, I knew my weekend was completed, requirements exceeded, and it was time to go home and put this one in the record books. I wish there was really more I could say, but both nights left me with a sparkly happy feeling, smiling through the whole experience, sometimes just leaning against the rail and letting the music wash over me, and certainly sending me home with sore feet and legs from the full levels of dance energy I gave up.
Thank you to the staff and my friends at the RVT for making both nights absolutely perfect and making this a wonderful bank holiday treat. I know you will hold our special spot for us on the dance floor until we return again for New Year’s Eve.
