Atlantis Secures Allure of the Seas for 2011 Cruise
Posted 16-Feb-2010 to Calendar, TravelNo sooner has Royal Caribbean launched the Allure of the Seas, the sister ship to Oasis of the Seas, and Atlantis announces that it’s 20th Anniversary cruise will be on this behemoth of a ship. The cruise sails February 6, 2011 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on a journey to Nassau, St. Thomas, St. Marteen and then back to Fort Lauderdale.
The cruise went on sale February 6, 2010, to alumni having sailed a number of times with Atlantis Cruises and then opened to the public today, February 16, 2010. This is sure to be some spectacle of a cruise. The ship can hold 5500 passengers and promises to be an all new experience in Atlantis Cruises. Clearly Atlantis will have to rethink the parties, the entertainment, and so much more, because you simply can not put all of those people in one place on the ship successfully. The site already has statements about probably not having a traditional headliner for entertainment because the theater can’t hold all the guests, and that many of the shows will have to run 4 times to accommodate all of the interested passengers. Additionally, this ship will boast ocean view balcony staterooms and something new, with internal balcony staterooms that face one of the many “neighborhoods” on the ship like the Central Park, a lush grass covered oasis on the ship.
I love my cruises as much as the next Atlantis Alumni, and and I think there is a good chance the Juice Box will be represented on this cruise. So, make your plans and grab a room today, for what is likely to be a fun and interesting experience on the largest cruise ship ever built.
