There is no denying that you can count on DJ Phil B to put down a set of music that enlightens and elevates a crowd, and last night at the Fresh Holiday T-Dance, he topped the holiday tree with a shining star.

Arriving early with my buddy Craig, we got a scope of the club before the crowd starting filing in. Taking a tour around, I noted that the club has remodeled the old smoking room, now decorated with dark hardwood floors and white leather couches, it is classy and a great place to take a break during an evening (sorry smokers – you have to go outside now). The holiday decorations were to a minimum in the club, but what was most noticeable was a new set of truss rigging that framed the stage. I am not sure if this is permanent or not, but I certainly hope it is. With color changing lamps in the truss, it turned into a beautiful multicolored frame of the stage and planted right in the middle was Phil B.

Phil’s music was inspiring and uplifting and included classics and new standards, and when the Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling” came on, the crowd sung at the top of their lungs, the boys do in an English pub, and you could tell that it was going to be a great night. Phil wove a tapestry of trance, vocals, and music full of energy that just made you want to dance, and the crowd was soaking it in and eating it up.

The crowd was a mix of the usual suspects and some that have not been out in a while, claiming they could not miss the Phil B evening. There was plenty of flirting, holiday wishes, and lots of eye candy to keep you interested as we soared along on the Phil B excursion. And this crowd loved Phil, with cheers going out regularly as certain songs dropped into play.

This is the way to kick off you holiday week. Phil B brought music and merriment to a deserving crowd and I felt I could leave satiated with holiday spirit. Thanks to the crew of Fresh and Phil B for an amazing, tree topping, holiday event.
